The problem is not to speak english or no but to read someone who live in France with a french friend, who undestand french and who doesn't make the minimal to tell us why he couldn't write one word in french as "Bonjour, excusez-moi, j'ai du mal à écrire en français".

That comportement is typical from a part of english people who live in France....There is a word to describe that kind of comportement : COLONISATION.
